Owly Bookmark

A cute little bookmark

This wise little owl will watch over your page in your favourite books and keep it safe until you return. A very simple and quick to knit bookmark that will make you smile whenever you pick up your book to read or to give as a gift.

Instructions for the owl are in written form and charted.

Sizes:

One size measuring 33 cm (13″) by 3.5 cm (1.4″).

Length can be adjusted to fit any book.

Yarn:

Chunky weight yarn

Shown in Wendy Fusion (88m per 50g ball; 50% wool, 50% acrylic), colourway maze

10m (11 yards)

Needles & Notions:

3.0mm (US 2.5) knitting needles

Two 7mm (0.25 inch) buttons for eyes

Sewing needle

Sewing thread to attach eyes

Crochet hook or yarn needle (to attach tassels)

Gauge:

24 stitches and 33 rows per 10cm x 10cm measured over stocking stitch

Skills required:

Knit and purl stitches

Increase stitches

Simple cables
